Asparagus Crab Soup

Do you know what is the most refreshing soup of 1 Food Recipes version? Yeap, this asparagus crab soup recipe is definitely our choice! If you ask why, we just want to say, Delicious + Delicate!



This dish is very popular among Asian countries. Asparagus Crab Soup best served while it's still hot, the soup itself have a lot of benefit for your health and of course is very tasty.

China is the most delicious asparagus soup that we ever taste it so far. Either the taste of the fresh crab, or the asparagus vegetable, one thing we know for sure, this dish is way unfortunate if we pass it up.

Asparagus Crab Soup

Vietnamese also make a good Asparagus crab soup. Unlike others, Vietnamese version is more salty, and sour.

Asparagus crab soup recipe originally coming from Chinese Mainland, which they made it with Chinese Egg soup, then combined with the French old traditional recipe using asparagus and crab meat.

The process is simple, so please bear with us!


How to make Asparagus Crab Soup;


  • 3 fresh crab, you can skin them for the preparation, leaving only the meat
  • 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons of "ang ciu" or cooking wine (Chinese cooking wine)
  • 750cc of chicken broth powder
  • 2-3 teaspoons of sugar
  • 2-3 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1 can of asparagus
  • 2 chicken eggs light to medium beaten
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons of fish sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Green onions, thinly sliced as you prefer

Instructions;

1. First you have to prepare the  saucepan, and boil the crab meat until it cooked

2. Add the cooking oil with medium heat and stir the crab meat, along with garlic, salt, sugar, cooking wine, chicken broth, stir it frequently, until the garlic/crab well cooked

3. Until then add the asparagus to the pan, stir it frequently for 2 minutes

4. Prepare a bowl, then mix water with cornstarch in it to make a mixture, then pour it to the saucepan

5. Add the fish sauce and egg while you stir it and drizzle the egg, until it creates petal and shredded

6. Stir it frequently and continue to cook for around 2 or 3 minutes or until the crab meat is cooked enough


Tips for Asparagus Crab Soup


- You can add the crab meat in step 2 or step 6 as you prefer
- You can add optional ingredients such as, Mushrooms, corns, sesame oil or a sliced smoked beefs to add the taste and variation
- Don't forget to stir it until the soup thickens or coagulated on step 4
- Add some chili if you like it
